 | opinions??

got given one as a 'tip' from a cabby i know last night while in work

all I know is its a 2ltr auto, and needs a new windscreen & few lil bits to get through its MOT (windscreen has a crack) but apparently had a reconned engine 500 miles ago, as the other snapped its timing belt...

I know no other details other than that, dont know the age, mileage, or anything else

'should' be dropped off this afternoon, so will get some pics up & such then on the state of it, might just end up on ebay as spares & repairs if its a real shitter!

but just incase... where would be cheapest bet to get a new screen? from what I've been told, you cant just cut one out from a scrappy and use that, as it will break

 | It's really not even worth your while bringing it up to MOT standard.

 | I had one of these from work.

There OK, a bit thirsty and the auto box is shit. Also, if it's the bug eye one, it's one of the worst looking cars in the world

You get quite a bit in them, the one i had was fully specced, E/W, C/L, A/C, Walnut dash etc.

Not bad for a run about IMO.

 | Except a new screen is going to cost in the region of £200-£300 unless you go fully comp on the insurance with it.

 | Got the car today (day late
  )
condition - not too bad, few scrapes, bumps, etc, but no rust on the sills!

 Things which need sorting:
Drivers side lock wont unlock/lock the car at all, have to do it from passenger side (central locking anyway)
gearbox judders when engaging gear (fluid change needed)
 new windscreen (insurance job)
rear light cluster patching (see pic)
front drivers light new glass needed
 bloody good clean inside

Also, I got a FREE Kitchen Knife under the passenger seat

 | Cool, if it was free can't complain. You could always sell it for a few hundred. I would have it if it was free, u can rag it and if it blows up you can just laugh
