hi all
i have just been offered a c20xe for £120 it is the later model with dis pack 84k and everything to go with it. the only problem is the cambelt is snapped i have bin told that only the valves will need replacing what do u think should i buy this as whatever engine i buy i would change the valves any way. would ther be anymore damage. should i buy it or wait till another one comes along.

possible piston slap onto the valves, would be worth taking the head off urself b4 u buy it. sounds ok though if its just the valves

What would be the damage if this happens. would the pistons need to be replaced or would they be ok?

pistons should be fine it would of bent the vavles quite well though

ok cheers i think i will take a risk and go for it. when its in the car ill get it on a rolling road and see what it puts out.
