buddy they are all 4 cyl,, main diffrences are 8v and 16v - 16vs have more power but can go bang if not looked after or when getting to mega high milage and cost more to run

so far all iv done is change the plugs and air filter and that was pretty easy

na its a common myth, most people assume they are 6 cyl because of the rather large for a 4 pot engine sizes - 2.5 2.7 and 3.0 are all bloody big tbh

whats your budget roughly?

Will be between 2 and 3 grand....

Was talking to a friend tonight and he said they are a waste of time beacuse they are van engines?
I thought it was the 928 that had the van engine and was front wheel drive tbh

tell your friend hes a twat knows nothing and is talking about the 924 2.0

porsche spent 5 million quid (lot of money at the time and when they were nearly bust) developing the engine so it ran perfectly

928 had a v8 buddy was rear wheel drive and running costs for them nowadays are in the thousands per year

2-3 grand will get you a very nice later model oval shaped dash 2.5

checked ebay and you should buy this now and not bother waiting as its a bloody good price,,reason being its rare has the more reliable 8v head and has loads more mid range torque than the 2.5 and the 2.7 was the last of the s1 shape,, really cheap for a 2.7 tbh and a bargain at that price,, change the wheels and you will have the same car as me
