A friend of mine has seen a car which he estimates is worth between £8k and £12k advertised on ebay buy it now for £3,500.

So he emailed the seller asking what the crack was and she has replied to say that her husband/boyfriend was killed in iraq early in the year so she just wants rid of the car as its a painful reminder.

She has said she is away atm but can arrange for a courier service, DAS, to bring the car upto him in exchange for the cash!

Now not being funny but i dont believe a word of it however my mate seems to think it could all be true.

IMO I think it would be much less hassle for her just to walk into any car dealer and if it is waht its supposed to be anyone would give her £5k cash there and then. If your going to go to the hassle of putting it on ebay you might as well get a fair price!

I think its more likely that someone will turn up and rob him, if he gives them the address and arranges to be there with the cash.

So has anyone heard of anything like this before?
