also how can i undo the top nut as it just turns the bit underneath?

have you got the spring clamps on yet?

and have you got 2 spanners? you need to hold the hex bit right at the top, as well as the nut

Why do you need to take the ball joint out to replace springs

Strut spindle - 2 spaners as Rab said

use spring clamps on the springs, this should help u get the shock apart.

Arm attached to the strut looks like the drop link for the anti roll bar? Bit strange it being connected to the strut tho?

so hold the very top of the bolt at the top with a spanner, and turn the bolt with another one?

Dunno, cant even see the bling when the wheels are on and cos the brakes are big!!!

Only changed them cos the originals were crunching a bit and those were half the price of the Subaru parts.

So true.

Its the thought that counts.

Its like i sprayed my arches to get them clean and now you can see the paintwork. I wonder how long that will last

Ive just put a full set of Tein coilovers on mine, I didnt want to put the wheels back on!

yeah on a corsa C the droplink for the ARB is connected to the strut, easy enough to disconnect. also on the top mount, clamp up the spring first, then get a 18 or 19mm drop ring spanner and either some mole grips or a 9mm socket iirc and counterturn the shaft to the top nut.
