Varies depending on who's selling anywhere from £25-£50...

Costs tuppence to make they simply have sheets of the foam and then just cut it to size and put a nice surround on it so it fits snuggly in your box

the only thing that makes the 1.2 8v quicker is to drop it from a great hight... or get the sails out downa steep hill on the M1

i thought they were only two pipes in the first place so no air would actually get to the engine

Unless it was like my 1.0 which had another plastic box added to the air filter box.

yeah i think its like a pipe an it only goes to the center of the filter but if u tak it out it gets air to all of the filter so its ment to b quicker

Yeah but look at it this way. I own a 1.6 16v 4 cylinder engine. I have a ram induction kit, all that does is takes slightly more air in and i wouldnt even class it to give me 1bhp extra increase.

So its very doubtfull that taking that box off will make it faster at all. You would be better off reducing the weight and adding bigger performance mods or just save up and get a bigger engine.
