The new Corsa is set to hit showrooms late in Q4 of this year, available in a coupe-style Sport Hatch, and a 5-door, much like the New Astra H is set-up, with their being no difference in price between the 2 models, unlike the previous Corsa C.
The new hot VXR version was set to have the 180ps 6-speed 2.0 Turbo engine used in the Meriva VXR, yet Vauxhall have just announced it will now be using a beefed up version of the 1600 turbo powerplant, which will output near on 200ps. The VXR is set to go on sale summer 2007 with a price tag of £13,995.
It's set to be the fastest supermini hot hatch in its class, because the pocket rocket boasts 200bhp from a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine.
With a top speed of 150mph and the 0-60mph sprint covered in six seconds, it's the ultimate sporting flagship for the new Corsa range. And as you can see from our pictures, it will have the looks to rival its searing acceleration, too.
Taking inspiration from the Astra VXR, the quickest Corsa features big air intakes with honeycomb grilles, bulging wheelarches and a ground-hugging front spoiler. However, one of the most distinctive styling additions is a sculpted rear bumper complete with Venturi-style tunnels and a central triangular shaped exhaust pipe.
Duno about you lot but I think it looks ten times better than the ordinary Corsa

Also I duno about it having 200bhp...it'd basically be as quick as the Astra VXR then which isn't somethin VX would do IMO

Seen those pictures a few weeks ago.
Clio Sport and Megane Sport are similar performance so cant see why Corsa and Astra wont be similar performance

I really like the Clio too actually. Same opinion too, at first I thought it looked a bit rubbish, but went to look at one the other day and though it was rather nice...

I wanna see some proper pics of the Corsa without crappy bits of tape stuck on it so I can see what it looks like for real.
Think its the front bumper and rear lights that are gonna ruin it

everyone knows smaller engines are more powerful as there is less distance for the fuel to travel thru it
