I read somewhere (Might have been on here actually), that you only need to get 66% overall for it to be classed as a first?
Is that right or did I misunderstand it or am I talking bollocks

We were unsure but it is defof between 66-68% - anything above 68% is DEFFO a 1st

Yes, I will be hpefully attaining a BSc (Hons) in the Autumn but will only get a 2:1 :S - that was for an average score of 58-66%

over 60% = 2:1?

I got 69.23% in my second year and it was a 2:1, I just thought it might be different for the overall degree

70+ is a definite 1st
60 - 70 2:1
50 - 60 2:2
And 3% below and like mark said, they have the choice of upping your final grade.

i was so happy when i checked my results today
i got a 2:1 in management and accounting
last yr i averaged 55%, so i thought no way was a gonna get a 2:1, but averaged 66.3%! mega pleased! thank god i got a few 70's and 1 80! how did every1 else do

That was what it was on my course/uni.

82.something average in my first year, havent got this years yet, should be something similar I'd expect.

the boundary for a first is 70%
however most external assessors wil bump you up if you're within 2% of the grade boundary
which better fucking happen!
Cosmo first year counts for nothing - second and third is where tis at
