I have a 1.2 8v at presant!
What would i need and what would it cost for a 1.4 16v and all needed parts??

you would need
x14xe engine
engine loom
ecu
transpoder + chip
Not sure about gearbox
upgrade brake calipers and disks n pads

might aswell just sell your car and go buy a 1.4!
can pick up a decent one for around £1400

Personnally i would sell the 1.2 8v because it wont have a sunroof or air con it wont have electrics or sporty interior - unless youve modified your 1.2
check your insurance but its worth getting the 1.6 16v sport i just sold mine for !800 on a R reg with 55k on it - noting wrong with it jus wanted money quickly

As Billy and Coastal said, easier, cheaper overall, cheaper to insure, easier to sell on etc to get a sport in the first place mate 
Coastalcorsa, I've found that the 1.6 sports are quite a lot more to insure than the 1.4's
