I had a stain on one of my white 'going out' t-shirts from PVS, had to wash it about 3 times, finally came up well enough after using vanish stain remover, boil wash and plenty of detergent.

silicone? that repells water iirc, you'll need some detergent to break down the enzymes or something in the water you're soaking it in.

White vinegar.
Thrown a capful in with your washing.
I'm not trying to wreck your clothes either.
