Just been looking on Autotrader for Corsa c's and found a 1.7 cdti one. What are these engines like? What sort of power are they putting out?

Also noticed that it has the wheels are 5stud not the normal 4. I didnt think that they did these in 5stud.

Just debating if I should get a one of these or the 1.8sri or just go for the Astra coupe. Cant decide though.

I never really used to like them either, but now I am really liking them. I have had two corsa b's (trying to sell my current one), and was thinking of getting a different car but I still really like my corsa's even though everyone is telling me to get a different car.

go and drive it, then see how you feel about it

dont buy a car because people are telling you to, buy it because you like the way it is etc...

True. I will try and find one that is near me and test drive it. I just want a car that comes out of the factory looking nice and I wont need to touch it.

Pretty quick for what they are, they use the higher powered 1.7 CDTI engine, cant remember what bhp it is. But quite torquey and go well enough. 5 Stud wheels are just new shape Vectra wheels

It does. 0-60 in about 10 seconds (similar to the 1.4 figure), but obviously once its moving, it'd rape a 1.4, and give a 1.8 a good run for their money apparently .

Thats DTI you're giving us mate, not CDTI there's a difference.

I drove one ofd these at work for a while (but a combo van). Went really well, and you're never really at 4k+ as it pulls brilliantly lower down through the gears.

Feels really quick as well - buy it!

Gonna look for one. Might have to look at my local vauxhall tomorrow. Anyone know roughly what tax would be on this car. Not sure if it is the same as my current 1.6, as they have recentley changed all the prices.

Yeah thought it was 100 bhp, I drove one at work and was very impressed. The 100bhp CDTI engine feels quite good in the Astra's so in the Corsa its alot better. Worth a test drive definatly.

I'm after one of these as well but a 5-door.

CO2 is 132g/Km so tax is the same as my 1.0litre - £100/year.

Seen one I like on NetworkQ and rang the insurance it's not much more expensive to insure than the lawnmower, so gonna go and have a look next week.
