What is the preferred method for doing this? I tend to say something along the lines of:

"Best Regards,

Ashley Gleave"

...but not sure if I should end it like a proper printed letter with "Yours sincerely" or Yours faithfully".

How does everyone else do it?

BTW, saying

"Taa muchly,

Ashley Gleave

Oh, PS, please visit http://www.pstfu.co.uk" isn't an option.

Yours Faithfully IMO, thats what i used when i last sent a letter, but if you know them in person then use Yours Sincerly(sp?)

"Kind Regards", I end it with that if I'm writing as the MD of my company, if I'm ordering stock over email, I just put "Thank You MoFo!"

"Kind Regards" is ok when your 6monthly turnover is enough to run a city for a day.

You say 'Yours Sincierly' when you start the letter with something along the lines 'To Whom it may Concern'. Or you say 'Yours Faithfully' if you start the letter along the lines of 'To Mr Smith'.

I never quite get this one. On more than one occasion Ive asked contractors who work for me to stop signing letters with ' I remain etc'

I guess its just a tad sycophantic for my taste

TBH I find the start harder than the finish. Ive now resolved to just saying 'Hi' as opposed to 'Dear'

i put faithfully if i'm expecting help or a response and sincerely if i'm giving instruction or making a statement if it's something official.

anything else gets 'regards'
