whats a really old model porsche?
not a 356, and probably slightly older than a 924 or 944.
They're small little things with a flat horizontal boot like a tr7.
saw a couple last week, but haven't a clue what they were
anyone?

they rot like fuck. they have holes in the sills for jacking points, and they have a habit of rotting out from there
911 is much better built

i quite fancy a 944 or 944 turbo to replace the RR as 'shed'
but i think a tow truck it the better option as a run around

guess youv been looking at 2.5s then
go price up a good condition turbo, 3.0 s2 or a good 2.7 and watch how high the prics can go up

dude buy a 944 turbo they could beat the 911 carrera 3.2s in a straight line and totally destroy them in the twisties (wish i had a turbo sometimes just to wind up kirsts dad )

i thought base spec 944's were common as
924s broke all porsches records for selling and basically saved porsche from going under in a time when porsche was nearly bust
944s then went and became as good a seller and made porsche some good profits
thing is the 924 was never really classed as a porsche due to it having a audi engine so as they went on a bit people never felt the need to keep them in as good a nick and also werent built to as high standards as a 944 hence why there are more around,, fully galvanised bodyshell rocks

correct the 944s outside was basically a 924 carrera but instead of plastic arches they were metal,,
928 is the car that porsche wanted to take over from the 911
