I remember a Corsa Vs Nova day and there was one then.

Was it Stu with a burgandy Corsa which was a 1.5 td originally?

Can't comment on the FIRST one done, but im 99% sure it was Courtenay who done it.... I also attended that Max POwer Corsa Vs Nova day. We had 6 cars, only 1 was a 2.0, the rest were 1.6, 1.4 and 1.2 Thijnk there was about 10-15 2.0 Novas, a few 2.0 Turbos, a few all nitrous up. Was a good day, lots of stonechips though I got a 9.55 0-60mph with a basically standard 1.4 16v. Happy days...

I know this was the first one witha standard airbox...

Im not sure if it was Stu Smith or Andy Bracey who got it first. Im fairly sure it was Bracey though. Also had rear discs etc back in 2000, stienmetz and irmscher goodies...

Andys...

Stu's at 2.0 16v only stage....

Corsa didn't come out till 1993.

Andy had his conversion done before 2000, think it was in 1999 he had it done.

As i say, this is I THINK, Andys car may have actually been the 2-3rd one out from Courtney (as im sure they had a demo car).

Think Stu got his whole engine conversion for free as well as his original engine went pop and he had a nightmare with the claim from vauxhall or something. So (at the time), got his £3000-£4000 engine conversion for basically free. Bastid!!!

Wing mirrors, Bracey had Stienmetz ones.

I remember reading the feature. He had bought the car as a diesel from a traders. One of the parts used was a BMW part which caused the whole engine to go bang. The compensation he got to fit a new one, he spent on a C20XE
