Front drivers side tyre, maybe every 3-4 months looses its air, not a slow puncture cos ive been checking pressures regularly + it seems to go flat very quickly & always when driving.

Tyres in good nick, lots of tread & no visable damage & wheels not got a mark/bash on it, in fact there both pretty new......faulty valve maybe

get a tyre fitters to look at it as a suspected bead leak, they'll clean it up, and put some rubbery gunk stuff in to seal it, get them to change the valve at the same time.

before that though, just get them to double check that there isnt a tiny nail or anything in it......

shouldnt cost you more than 15 quid, at the most

Alloys were bought new from alfa about a year & half ago to replace shoddy ones!! Im positive its the tyre/bead/valve.

Its not a huge problem, but you can almost set you watch by it when its gonna happen Last night down some back roads in the pissing rain with no wheel brace

My old dear had a 156 V6. it was a nice car, lovely to look at.... BUT, it literally fell apart

turning circle was shocking, dash was flimsy, it was just generally poo.

golf is older, but its probably gonna last longer.

new golf is 11,995

3k for a mk2 in good condition is a bargain. just needs a VR or a G60 and you're sorted

Yer suppose, what engine was it he said it had...Audi 100 8v or something

Not sure about me & getting an engine conversion - id probably pussy it!!

Hopefully have another scooby once ive sorted a few things out, just need something reliable to bum about in for 12 - 18 months

Alfas not most reliable but just had about a grand spent on it on various things....

Hmmm desisions

a tall block 8v, i presume he means a 2 litre

the golf would be more reliable then the alfa, and it's not gonna depreciate any more really
