The car park at work is covered over by lots of large trees, today was a windy day and a quite a large branch fell off onto my car dinting it.
Can I claim off work's insurance or are they not liable for this?

Worth a try, house insurance would cover this if a roof tile etc. fell off, but not on your own house, as you can't claim against yourself.

depends if the tree is situated within works grounds or the branches hang over from outside.
also, may not be claimable as will be classed as 'act of god'

I had a word with the boss about this last week, saying the big branches looked dangerously loose and if they fell on someones car they could do damage.
She agreed but said as the building is a listed building they need permission from council to trim them!
Dont know if this will make a difference to the insurance!
