It's Tuesday afternoon 5.15pm and I'm out of the office making my way through London rushing to get home to South of end to watch the footy. All is going well I'm on a tube flying through the tunnel and someones left a copy of Total film for me to read. Armed with my newly aquired film mag I run from Aldgate tube to Fenchurch St. I jumped on the first train out, popped my ipod on to drown out the essex girls ("YEAH HE TOOK ME OUT FOR DINNER AINT IT"), opened the mag and read about the making of that new pirate film (that depp bloke).
All has gone well up to this point. A lack of train drivers means delays!!! All sat at home ready to watch the game no doubt. Train finally gets moving then stops in West hordon (middle of nowhere) as the train in front has broken down!!! I got home at 7.30 in the end. Now the missus has asked me to pick her up from the train station at five to eight so I'm ready bang on time so I can get straight to the pub. She goes and misses the train. It's 8pm I'm sat in my car outside a deserted train station. In the end I got to the pub at 8.15. My girlfriend goes off behind the bar (she helps out when its busy) and I go to other to my mates. Look beside me and discover my evil x is out with her whole family!! inc the evil mother that looks like the living dead. I decide it's time to retreat to the school disco upstairs. They had it on a big screen just had to put up with poo music and a DJ dressed as a school boy! Anyway we decide to have a game of pool at half time so who comes along and sits beside the pool table? Yep that evil x and her family!! All giving evils, and all refusing to move so we can take shots. After the game lots of fights kick off. Got to love Southend

They saw me having a laugh with the bouncer (Looks like BA from the A team) so I knew I was safe from her mini fists of steel.

It's southend it's the only half decent pub. Last post is full of pikeys, the hogs just depressing, and yates has no pool tables. Churchills is nice if you want to grab a granny or a single mum.
They pool, table football, burgers and 2 big screens. Have to say it was a bit chav infested last night, but not many places were open till 1

Yeah there is!!
You need to up the tempo and get to the more older / funky clubs!
The best by a mile is clarence yard, followed by bar 29, varsity and talk bar!

Oh dear. I play in london if I want a decent night as all of those mentioned are rather pants.
I know Finch at the Clarence yard so I prob would venture there from time to time
