1-0 Tunisia, tbf Spain have had the run of the play so far but since going a goal behind they already look frustrated and seem to be getting pretty dirty.....

Amazing finish, one of the best ive seen so far in the WC, he's been quiet all night... still not sure warrants the 25m tag United have been given on him though

He's well young though, plus i'm sure he's scored something like 50 goals in 110 games for his club.

The two best players on the pitch are two of the three subs Spain have brought on - Joaquin and Fabregas

Lately Torres has been linked by the media to English club Arsenal F.C, after reports claim that José Antonio Reyes has held talks with Arsène Wenger about signing his fellow spaniard. The agent of Torres has recommended Torres to weigh up his options and think about moving clubs if he gets offers of Top-European Clubs. As of May 7 it appears that Manchester United may be considering a swap plus cash deal for Fernando Torres involving their out-of-favour Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy. But reports in England are stating that Manchester United are lining up a £25 million bid for the Spanish superstar.

It is widely expected that a good performance for Spain at the 2006 world cup would boost his already significant demand among major European clubs. At his first ever appearance in a World Cup Finals match, Torres scored with a spectacular volley helping la selección demolish Ukraine. Reports have since surfaced about A. C. Milan entering the fray with a £20.5 bid in their quest to replace Chelsea bound Shevchenko.

Interesting post Jodi, however I wouldnt really be happy with United spending 25m on one player, thats alot of money for someone who aint guarenteed to make it... give them RVN plus 10m maybe, although id hate to see Ruud go

10.5 million for henry in 1999 that was a lot, bergkamp was expensive, plus dein has promised wenger a 'war chest' this season.
