I own a Type R which I love. The type R forum on the other hand is naff. 50 odd sections, and too many moderators. Posts get deleted or moved constantly, and general attitude is rather poor. Ask a question and always get some nasty smart arsed reply from at least one person.

I would show you a link but you have to sign up to view so below is what I put this morning after my thread asking about Lotus Esprit was deleted for no reason.

"Another thread of mine vanishes without warning.

I dont even care as to why as I'm sure there is some lame reason. Too many moderators on here. I shall be posting back on the corsasport web site despite the Cupra R owners giving me grief it's a better atmosphere for banter without fear of post deletion."

Sorry rant over *Monday Blues*

Replies below:

do agree with ryanss, there seems to be much less banter than on corsasport. but i tend to find its because the CTR owners are older so therefore tend to be a bit more mature ... or maybe im wrong.

Very rarely will something be just deleted. You either posted complete rubbish or posted to the wrong section and it was moved.

Sorry you feel hard done to...perhaps if you thought more about what and where you posted you wouldnt be like this now.

Either way, irrelevant as you've made your choice to leave so we won't be expecting a repeat performance.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

See ya!!!!!!

Enjoy chatting to the baseball cap brigade with there 1.2 chavved up corsa's!

Is it me or are these people rather Anal?

No. CTR's have as many bad drivers as any other popular car. It's just that there's so many so when one drives bad you notice it

Driving a CTR doesnt make you a knob

Doesnt matter what car you drive, you can still be knob and try to race everyone

Not as bad as an Imprezza owner this weekend

Stopped along side the Lady who has a Cally with alloys, he said to his missus look love the boy racers are in town and gave a smug grin

I said to the g/f look another standard Imprezza, with a cock driving thats 20 we've seen today his missus laughed at him

No, as per many cars a small minority of owners ruin it for the rest in terms of being branded knobs

I know they are not all like it, but the forum users really are twats. When I first got the type R I did a post about parking it. I said I liked the car , but found it hard to park compared to other cars as you cant see where the front ends as it drops away out of view. That was it "You cant drive" blah blah It's easy.

Did a groupbuy for an induction kit. These people can afford 9k+ car but cant cough up for an induction kit they have put there names down for. Took 2 months in the end!

I bought a starter button off one user and he sent in bubble wrap. Nothing else just clear bubble wrap and a bit of tape!!!

I owned a corsa for nearly 2 years and always got help off here, and some brilliant bargins. Corsa owners are nicer people. All the type r owners do is bitch about falling prices meaning the riff raff can buy one.

TBH i think this all started with the honda billboard ads for the CTR back in 2001 that said something like the following.

"Civic Type R, RIP GTi"

wrong attitude from the start imo.

i think that civics blend in, so u dont notice them unless they are bein driven by knobs. u probably see 4 or 5 bein driven properly for every 1 bein driven like its been stolen. same as any other car i reckon
