Hiya guys any info on converting a corsac 1.2 and haveing a 1.8 astra mk4 engine the 140bhp one in??

should be easy enough fitting the engine wise,wiring loom maybe difficult ,but all in all easy ad say

Get a turbo conversion off Regal! It'll take it to 170 brake!

The dont produce a 140bhp 1.8 in the Mk4's

X18XE = 113bhp
Z18XE1 = 123bhp

for ease would it not be worth fitting the 1.8 sri engine found in the corsa?

It may be worth investigating the Z18.....but the European version as it has...shall we say "less strict" emmisions standards...and as such will produce 140bhp

As for the acutal job of doing it... with the fly bi wire being used in Corsas it could be a problem wiring in a new engine you may need to invest in programmable managment...

I would deffinitley say go with a corsa engine ....as it will give you less hastle in the long run
