and i found a small black leather jewellery box, opened it to find an immaculate Garrard gold watch looked on back, its inscribed with "PRESENTED TO J.H. RABY BY HAWKER SIDDELEY AVIATION LIMITED FOR TWENTY YEARS SERVICE 1957 TO 1977". thats my grandfather
god knows how it ended up under my bathroom sink, guess from moving about so much in the last couple of years. i believe its worth about £700 though.

Ive got my grandfathers watch he was presented with for 30yrs working with Shell. Been told its solid gold & worth a few bob

god im not selling it!! he died in 1997, we moved to australia in 2004, so he might have a bit of trouble hiding it under a bathroom sink

i have one from my grandad which has

"PRESENTED TO P.SULLIVAN BY CARRERAS ROTHMANS ON COMPLETION OF 25 YEARS ROYAL SERVICE"

but it aint even gold. 25yrs and no gold! boo!
