Hi ive a corsa Gsi, with a XE lump, and ive a irritating problem that the tacho needle gets erratic pulses, works all time, but reeds correct only half that, then jumps up and down, ie at idle it can just bounce to 4k and go back and up and down, engine revs dont change at all, any idea's where to start, guy i got car off said something about wired to wrong terminal at back of alternator but he was'nt sure.
any help would be great
