Read this peach
"The last world war was not simply a war fought between the Allies and the Axis or Democracy and Despotism. It was a war fought between Science and Magic, and science won. It was also the planetary battlefield of Galactic War III, when alien civilizations sponsoring the Nazis and alien civilizations sponsoring the Americans fought once again for control of planet Earth ...... while using its unsuspecting armies as pawns in their interstellar conflict. It is a well documented publicized fact that Hitler often went into trances and spoke to his military commanders. His chair press officer, Dr. Dietrich testified his belief that Hitler was possessed by demons. Hitler told his High Command his belief in the Superman who had ruled the planet in the times of Atlantis and Thule, and after the war of the gods that led to the fall of Atlantis the Superman, who were the Masters of the World, had gone underground. Hitler said he took his orders for the Nazi conquest from the Superman who lived inside the Earth. In a conversation with, Governor Rausching, a man who tried to tell the Nazi Leader of the great difficulty of genetically creating a new species, Hitler replied "The New Man is living among us now! He is here! Isn't that I enough for you? I will tell you a secret. I have seen the New Man. He is intrepid and cruel. I was afraid of him!
However, the Sirian Orion conflict had been raging across the galaxy for millenniums. Mars and Mercury had been in the second intergalactic War here, victims of nuclear devastation, Maldek had been blown into the asteroid belt, and planets In the Pleiades, Orion, and in other systems had become nuclear wastelands. Earth had seen two nuclear wars in the last 13,000 years and the Sirians and Orions were bringing in the technology for a third. "

Am i on the right lines in thinking that whilst what you posted is totally nuts but hitler did indeed believe some things along those lines? abotu all the supernatural stuff, i'm sure I saw on a tv programme that he had the idea (and started work on) of somekind of spacetravel vehicle to aid his WWII efforts?
Or have I been watching Hellboy too many times?

He believed very much so in the possiblity of a super human race which lived deep inside our world, thats why he sent SS exploration teams out to Tibet to find the entrance to this inner world and to get these super humans on his side.
I also believe thats where the film Constantine got the idea of the spear of destiny from as its believed the Tibeten monks have this spear which was used at the crucifiction of christ, its said that possession of the Spear would bring its owner the power to conquer the world.

Do you think 1) Hitler was a flawed genius, 2) Hitler was totally crackers?
I personally think he was a flawed genius.
I despise the man and all that he inflicted on this world but I would love to be able to have a serious chat with him about his beliefs and ideas as I think it'd be so interesting!

Read Mein Kampf then. It's really an insight into his mind and his reasons for being who he was.

Jules, flawed genuis totally, how can it be that person & one person alone, a lonely artist who was living on the streets of Vienna take charge of a country and manage to take control of most of the planet in the space of 15 years? You have have to be 1. a good manipulator of people 2. a genius to carry it out
Rob
Hitler and The Spear of Destiny
Both Guernica and the 1934 drawing conceal references to a mystical battle between Picasso and Hitler in connection with the Spear of Destiny. This hidden pictorial narrative, set in the context of Wagner's opera Parsifal, reveals some uncanny associations with events in Hitler's life and with his quest to dominate Europe.
Vienna 1909-1913
According to the account of Dr Walter Stein, the young Hitler whilst living as a down and out in Vienna undertook a penetrating study of the Occult meanings underlying Wolfram Von Eschenbach's Thirteenth Century Grail Romance, 'Parsival'. Stein through various contacts with Hitler became convinced that he was deeply involved with the Occult and had an experienced spiritual mentor, possibly linked to the infamous 'Blood Lodge of Guido Von Liszt.
Hitler later claimed in Mein Kampf, that these had been the most vital years of his life in which he learned all he needed to know to lead the Nazi Party.
Stein got to know Hitler because of their mutual interest in the Spear of Destiny - a relic on display in the Hapsburg's treasury at the Hofmuseum in Vienna.
The relic was said to have phenomenal talismanic power having once been used at the Crucifixion to wound the side of Christ. According to legend, possession of the Spear would bring its owner the power to conquer the world, but losing it would bring immediate death. The relic had been owned by a succession of powerful European rulers down through the centuries and eventually came to be in the possession of the Hapsberg Dynasty.
Hitler confided to Stein that the first time he saw the Spear he had witnessed extraordinary visions of his own destiny unfolding before him.
In 1923, on his deathbed, Hitler's mentor Dietrich Eckart, a dedicated Satanist and central figure in the Occult Thule Society and a founder member of the Nazi party, said:
'Follow Hitler ! He will dance, but it is I who have called the tune !'
'I have initiated him into the 'Secret Doctrine', opened his centres in vision and given him the means to communicate with the Powers.'
'Do not mourn for me: I shall have influenced history more than any other German.'
On 12th March 1938, the day Hitler annexed Austria, he arrived in Vienna a conquering hero. He first port of call was to the Hofmuseum where he took possession of the Spear which he immediately sent to Nuremberg, the spiritual capital of Nazi Germany.
At 2.10 on 30th April, 1945, during the final days of the war, after considerable bombing of Nuremberg, the Spear fell into the hands of the American 7th Army under General Patton. Later that day, in fulfilment of the legend, Hitler committed suicide.

Very interesting read!
Where is the Spear kept these days? Did the yanks hand it back over after the war?
Also. Mein Kampf - is it pretty heavy reading and requires a great knowledge of Hitler/Nazism? Or can anyone read it?
I have a great interest in WWII and as I said I would like to find out more about what made Hitler tick but I don't know the full details of his existance and background (I knew he was a redundant artist before leading the Nazi party etc etc).

Jules, its a very easy read, Hitler wasn't a writer and wasn't educated to a high standard at all so its easy on the eye and mind.
As for the spear, I'm not sure, but would it not make sense that the previous owners of the spear took over half the world only for them to loose it, now look at America, look at how powerful they are, and TBH they do run the planet nowdays.

Olly/Ash, I've been trying to find a onlne retailer for Mein Kampf in paperback but can only find hardback - do you know if it is avaliable in paperback? And if so where from?
And is Mein Kampf the book he wrote whilst in custody? Or am I thinking of something else?
Cheers
