he has spent rather a lot. its the little bits that add up though, like 10 quid on an FPR, 500 on a head, 360 on a manifold etc....

i dont know the exact figure, but its well worth the cash IMO

I'd love to go out in it, I really could make my mind up then, weather I wanted a 2.0 16v or to tune the X16XE. His times kinda put me off at PVS tho.

thats his fault, not the cars, it was the first time his driven it with the diff, he's still getting used to it. and its not all about 1/4 miles anyway

loom: made myself £100
headwork: £250
arp's: £85
Sbd rollers: ££80
speedex inlet manifold: £100
injectors: £50
air filters: £85
webber fuel regulator: £75
webber wideband lambda £100
mapping: £600

and then probably £500 on other silly bits over the last year.

add that up, im too scared to

By the time u've bought then engine, payed to have it fitted, bought all the mounts, shafts, and the exhaust, not alot. And u loose the handling, apparently.

didnt lucky b's old car run for miles?

and im sure there are at least a few XE's on migweb running throttle bodies which have been doing so for years!

generally... The question of reliability is all down to the managment and the person mapping it, as well as the engine builder - (if it gets screwed together wrong, or not measured up to the thousandth its never going to be 100%)

Same with any tuned car really...
