my bro did that. couldn't register anywhere because there was like a 2 year waiting list! ended up going private and once he had all the work done (other fillings etc) it cost him the total of his yearly bonus!

U need to ring the NHS to find out which dentists are taking new patients on. As is took me about 4 years to get in to a dentist in my area. Unless you are willing to go Private. Its quite expensive now. Im with the NHS and it used to be 5.60 for a check up and now its gone up to £15.00 for a check up alone. If you are in pain now I suggest you ring the emergency dentist first off.

You'll have to re-register at a dentist near you, but it most probably will be a very long waiting list. Tell them that you need to see a dentist in an emergency, if they cannot fit you in then i suggest you go private but would cost a bomb

Are you sure your not already registered at a dentist?

Why not just put some string around the tooth, and then attatch the other end on the door, and then shut the door..

Then it will be pain free

Yes when I didnt visit the dentisf for a while and then i needed to go I had to re register...4 years later i eventually got in one... never missed an appointment again.

and if you want to go private ideally you need to get yourself orally 'sound' as it will cost a packet

I suggest go to dentist, have all your treatment, become orally sound, then go with Denplan and pay £20/30 a month for private if you think it will be worth it

I've just spent £270 having my teeth sorted. Not sure whether the drill or parting with the cash hurt more!

No you dont have to go through with the work but if they say it needs doing and you are having bother with your teeth id rather pay it and get it sorted than dealing with the pain.

Nah you dont, when i went last i had a tiny filling in the bottom of my mouth, then dentist said i needed another one and i didnt go back to have it. Thought it was weird because id never had fillings before and he said i needed 2, but mouth doesnt hurt and i brush twice a day so will see what they say when i go back!

I had a brace when I was 12. When I recently went to the dentist for my check up the dentist said to me that one tooth has moved slightly since having a brace ...and they wanted to charge me £5 grand to sort it. So I turned round and said i dont think so. It doesnt bother me that a tooth has moved...tbh i dont even think you can tell... Money making!!!!

Ring NHS 0845 46 47, tell em u want to register at a dentist, answer their questions, and they will put u on the list and they tell u a letter will be sent to you, but this letter might take a while. Thats what I did other week anyway, I havent been since primary school

Yes i wore my retainer. Didnt mess about with it or anything. I wouldnt spend 5 grand on a brace tho especially when for 2 years I had to wear one...and the times going back and forth for it tightening was awful...and trying to eat was so painfull.
