Air is compressed by either a supercharger or turbo.

excellent ta very much, how would you increase the amount of boost then?

do you have a turbo?
Effectivly increase the speed of the turbo (rpm) and it'll be working harder.... squeezing more air.. OR using a bleed valve/boostcontroller where more pressure is needed to push a spring in (i/e wind it in to in... ach.... cant be arsed)
BAR, or PSI is a measurement or unit of pressure.
Do a google search... it'll answer your questions
