Got an old fiesta registered to me which has been declared sorn since I got it nearly 3yrs ago and I have renewed the sorn each year. Anyway got a letter in the other day with a £40 fine cause I forgot to sorn it and I forgot as I aint seen the car for two years and the reminder they sent never arrived. They say I can appeal it if I have a good excuse but was just wondering if anyone had done this. Going to declare it scrapped now so save this happening again

on the letter you got sent there is an option to say you sent them notification of a change of owner, just tick that and send it back

by not sending them its an easy way to make some money as its hard to remember things a year later especially if its not a car you use or see regulary. Wish you could sorn something for as long as you want without the yearly thing but again its one way for them to make money

If I got one then I'd get a big crayon and write with my wrong hand, and pretend I've a mental age of 4. Might do a pritty picture of a giraffe on there too....
