lampard played better 2nd half, gerrard got lost on his way down tunnel i think, i didnt see him at all 
when Lawrencen said "joe cole was really pushing gerrard for best player of the 1st half" i spat my beer out.. were they watching another game? becks and crouch were best all game for me

Yeah i just hope we don't assume we can beat them, ok on paper we should but i think trinidad will be alot more up for it than we are.
Us brits arent used to the heat, if it stays like this it could take its toll.
Remember the england brazil game of 2002 i think it was...........we looked fewked in that heat in the second half.

just not sure wat was going on with the second half tactics.... as Jules sed - best form of defence is too attack.
paraguay were poor. they didnt offer any form of threat.
i think neville and cole played very defence. i wanted to see them overlap the winger more offened and push on.... but they didnt.
anyway... we got the first 3 points and now can go into T&T game with confidence.

First half, good, second half England switched on the self destruct mechanism they treasure so much, against better teams such as Holland, Argentina, Brazil etc... then it won't stay 1-0, I so hope England sort this out, and stop being pushed deep all the time, Ferdinand and Terry constantly had their own midfield backing onto them with every long ball from Paraguay, making it even harder to spray it out once defended, because the players that are supposed to be outlets are stood next to Robinson.
