i couldnt do it so drilled like a bazillion holes in it ranging from big to small

abdus - i dont need to unclip mine as ive modded it to take an extra feed. and my airbox is from an M reg SRi so i dont need get the jigsaw out but thanks for the info m8

can i drill the bottom

as in under the sponge??

also will getting a new uprated sponge make any diffrence?

bottom of box? yes...(not sponge)

but if you've drilles enough on the side, no need to imo

not the engine side though

no i dont wanna drill the sponge but if i got a replacement one say a k&n one will it make any difference?

i know this is an old post now but i found a website that might be a good read for people wondering wether to get a induction kit/sealed 1 or staying with the standard airbox. am i ok to post the link to the site?

i found it a good read. basicaly has a few tests and tells you if you need heat sheilds and where not to put cold air feeds

The pipes are in the airbox to "throw" any dirt etc into the side of the box. (The side most of you have cut out)

I've just drilled my airbox, but theres a 'gate-thingy' in the way of drilling some..
I've done some quite big holes, not really made a differnece to the noise.. any help apprectiated..

did you remove the bottom part near the wing?

i don't kno what this gate thing is..

theres a red wire connected to something on the air box but just disconnected it and reconnected it once i'd drilled it.., i can drill but don't want to go through anything major that'll affect the car.. not exactly minted right now.. lol

mines a 1.2 Corsa B, Breese if that helps..
