looking at buying one of these, got 5k to spend so should get a low milage old shape one, maybe t reg?

want a sport, with the dark interior and climate control.

whats peoples views on them, things to look out for, anyone got one?

not wanting it for speed, just for a comfy car to bone about it, may pimp it up with some rs4 wheels, tints......

right where should i start

check the front suspension for play, the passat set up means the bearing arms wear loads, alot of the were replaced under warrety even after 3 years (sticker of this will be on boot floor under carpet)

Vjeck the pollen filter housing, passenger side under scuttle, they leak, badly, and cause water to appear mainley in the rear footwell, killing the convinace control unit on the way, and the n/s wiring loom

ermmmmmm cant think of much else

i would also suggest a diesel. you are less likely to fit a bleed valva and give it 14psi
