Basically when i was 16, all i wanted was huge wheels and a fit cat, as i've got older, now 23, big kitted cars make me want to slide deeper and deeper into my foot well, i'm embaressed to be near them!

It makes me laugh in my local town, all the 17-18-19 yr old lads just drive lick c**ks all the time, there's no need.

I suppose we all sort of grow out the moddying scene after a while

depends what its is, what kit is on it, what wheels are on it, and most importantly how well its been done. Cant tar everyone with a massivley modded car with the same brush.

Most heavily modified cars i really don't like.. just don't see the point in it myself, although nice subtle smooth styling looks good....

I think the majority of people are the same. When you are younger you want a totally OTT car then as you get a bit older you just want something smart and subtle that goes well.

Depends what constitutes heavily modified. Could have thousands in it but just look nice, or could have a huge kit and huge wheels on the cheap, but still have the three clock dash and a boomerang steering wheel, which wouldn't mean that it has had so much attention.

tbh ive never been into kits and big wheels or ICE for that matter. i appreciate the work on well done kits but the majority of cars just make me cringe.

It depends on the car to be honest. I sometimes don't see the point in weighing down a bad car with loads of kit. When I had the 1.2 8v I didn't see the point it was a struggle to get uphill anyway

However I do love seeing mad modified cars aswell. I love crazy paint jobs and stuff, especially on a car that's got a decent lump under the bonnet.

I wouldn't modify the MR2 though as it's only a 2 litre NASP but if it was a turbo I would do some stuff to it.

I like subtle mods aswell though.

I had the money saved up for a body kit to go on the 1.2 8v i learnt to drive in, instead i put that cash towards a 1.6 sport a few month after i passed my test and I am so very glad I made that decision.

When i was like 14/15 i was really into all the OTT cars but i have grown out of them, the main reason being the fact that i now know how much it costs to make a car OTT, where as now the subtle mods are what i plan to do to my 1st car

Its styling in my pov, i like the car i drive to look respectable and not like a beach buggy, i like the wheels to sit in the arches correctly, rather than being able to host a small dinner party between them.

Thats about as far as Id like to go my cars now, thats for my daily driver cars.

I do have a BMW 320 e30, which is for drifting / track use. And its on a very very tight budget, need to sell all the rubbish i bought for the corsa, before seeing the light to put to good use on the bmw. The bmw of course, id like to look respectfully rediculous tho.
