saw a stunner of a honda civic vti s. the older shape r reg or sumit. im well wantin one. does anyone know wot theyr like to drive, performance ect?

do you like cars that you have to rev to over 6k to get in their powerband I dont!

Nothing wrong with VTEC engines.... very reliable.... probably one of the best range made

I dont. Thats why I drive a Corsa

seriously though would you not prefer to have a turbo and a nice dollop of torque lower down!

Ive had a turbo, and driven 3 VTEC engined cars .... i can honestly say power delivery on each is as good on all of them... depends on the turbo car to be honest mate... my mr2 used to spool up at 2800 which was nice

Vtec engines arent exactly shy below 5500 rpm, put it this way a B16B would run rings round a corsa gsi

then after 5500 rpm, just watching that needle pull all the way to 8000 or 9000 rpm is a joy and the noise is immense

Plus a vtec engine can be quite fuel efficient if you drive it politely

vti s is a ncie car comes woth a lot mroe kit like front and rear skirts and colour coded, nicer interior etc, about 168bhp standard and hit about 180 easy with filter and exhaust.

I had a VTI hatchback. The VTI-S only came in black.

ye this vti s wa in black. is ther much difference between the vti s and jus the vti? if find they look really nice standard and so have a lot of potential in the styling and performance dep. i cant decide whether id rather a turbo or vtec car? is the vtec cheaper to insure than turbo?

my boss is currently building a civic 1.8 vtec turbo and hes gonna run it at totb hoping for around 9.5 sec 1/4 mile it sounds immense on the rolling road
