I have a T reg 1.4 sport and i find it strange that it has two keys, one to open door and one for ignition, is this normal

Nope. Proberly had the lock changed at some point, or the igniton barrel.
Key for the door same as the boot?

The key to open the door has the number 770 on, and the ignition key has the number 506.

erm dont think i can open any of the other doors with either of the keys, just drivers side

No use to me! go check if the key to open the door is the same as the boot lock, u'll know which has been changed then!

The ignition barrel hasent been changed then.

Rite, just had a little play.
Key 770 opens driver door and does nothing else
Key 506 is the ignition and turns in the boot lock but does nothing

Hmm come to think about it, when i fitted my front speakers, i noticed someone had been in the door before as the white plastic was ripped inside the door. Guess the door lock has been changed then rite?

It just seems strange how the ignition key doesnt work in any of the other doors either?
