vx charge £40 for the key and another 30-40 to program it A local locksmiths to me can "clone/copy" chiped keys for £24.95

If you have lost you keys then only vauxhall can sort it bar changing the ecu and loop

really. They have 2 replace the ECU if you lose you're keys :O. I know about the anti-theft/immob bit. But surely there has to be a cheaper way to get a programmed key for f**k's sake!! flashing chips on motherboards on PC's dont even cost that much!

If you have lost your key if you can get you car to a vx dealer there charge you anything up to £200 to sort the keys out

if you want do it you self get the colmn loop, ecu and chip from the key that matches the ecu

sorry i didnt make it too clear

edit. Vx will order the key in for you it take 2-3 days then thay need to program the ecu to execpt the key with the tech 2

locksmiths etc can code upto 2000 models only iirc
after that the chip is on a rolling code and needs to be programmed via tech 2
if you lose your key all is not lost as you can get the vin number via tech 2 off the ecu then get a car pass with security code and key number, order and program a new key
jobs jobed
if you were nearer I could do it cheaper for you mate

thanx in advance!!
