the AA have declined to insure me with a 1.6 engine yet i can get insured in a golf mk4 gti turbo.

just tried a 'specialist modified car' quote. got all the way through and it says, sorry we cant quote online for modified cars, please call (and sit for ages in a queue on premium call rate)

im with quinn direct, i rang up explained that my 1.2 had blew up even though it hadnt, and i was fitting a 1.6 16v out of another corsa, they asked what corsa etc etc told them a sport, they said we'll send you out an engineer's report to get done and when thats back with us we can start the policy, they just insured it as a 1.6 sport now... which is what it says on my policy.

just done an online quote with norwich union, they automatically picked up on my car being a 1.6 sport (as the logbook has updated cc etc)

£880 tpft
£1025 fc

thats less than i was paying for a 1.2

get in!

Norwich union are good, i started with them last year.. Was that online quote for a standard 1.6 sport?

and before anyone starts, NONE are for speeding

3 - defective tyre (couldnt argue as the other side was also worn right on inside edge and would of got 6 points)

6 - driving without due care & attention (had a coming together with an old lady, who blamed me and i got done)

alloys
lowering
tints

that cost me £100 more on my insurance
