i dont understand how it works , e.g sometimes if i put a bit in of say £100 it only bids so much for me , i.e bids upto £100. But the other night i put a maximum bid in and it went straight to that, even though the person who bid last bid half of my bid?

was there a reserve on it? it will jump to the reserve price if you meet it

ah ok, maybe somebody else bidded at the same time like you but a lesser amount
