New suspension time for the wee thing
The rears went on fine no bother at all... but the front are a bit puzzling.
They have no mounts for brake lines and the ARB link ?! Is this normal? Remove the ARB, or get different suspension?
see pics.
They are gas shocks.... not sure on gas type, but would welding the ARB link mount on be an un-wise idea?

ring koni and see anyway, they might be able to advise you about what to do
i'd say they are likely to be filled with an inert gas of some description, krypton or something, so they dont randomly explode when its a bit warm

you'd think that they'd come with the brake pipe mount though
These just look like universal jobbies to me

lower spec 205 arb's bolted to the wishbone not the strut. I suspect you have the wrong ones there!

yeah you can run them without the ARB alot of mk4 golf owners do this when they lower them to stop the driveshafts from catching

If it doesnt work out well, we can ebay the front shocks, and get some others

could get a hose clip round the shock then use the hose clip to hold a cip or bracket with a hole in tighten it up to the shock then, run a tie clip throu that hole or bracket you fixed to the shock round the brake line rubber, least thats 1 prob sorted, as for the arb id say your fucked and need different front shocks
