Hi there,
Just sold my clio williams 1 and have bought a black 1.6 sport corsa b. Obviousley not as quick as the williams but owned it for a while and needed something different.

I'm not one to keep things standard so i'm going to invest in some -60mm springs and uprated shocks and some speedlines. Just not too sure what to do about tuning the thing? Is it a tunable lump or is it better to start making plans for a conversion? Managed to get my williams up to 190bhp (although it wasn't cheap) and really fancy getting to grips with a fast corsa. I'm getting mixed ideas from other places about a 2.0 8v conversion and running it on carbs or to put in a red top. Any ideas?

Either go for a tuned 1.6 or tuned 2.0 16v redtop, a lot more parts available for the 16v than teh 8v, can see up to 290bhp with enough £££ on the N/A redtop. The redtop is about 150bhp, to see 190+ you will have to go the throttle body route, or get the C20LET (2.0 16v turbo) which is just over 200bhp standard and very tuneable PS - Welcome to the world of Vaux

1.6 is also lighter than a redtop so you get better handling too

Mate depends on your budget.

If you've got more money then tune that 1.6! If not then stick a redtop in
