Car is almost ready to be sprayed now, guy in the bodyshop isnt too keen on the hayabusa kandy blue cos the paint is £££ for the base and top coats, plus it will be a lot more expensive to fix any damage cos its hard to get a good match after. He reckons the blue of the scooby works would be nice, im going up tomorrow to have a look at some colour swatches, but has anyone else got any ideas? Mainly thinking of dark blues, although the skyline on the front of this month's Banzai in that deep purple has taken my eye too

[EDIT - Thought id stick a couple of pics up of my car cos its been off road for so long Its gonna be like this, but badboy front and rear, custom rear arches, smoothed roof rails and side repeaters, and BMW M6 wing mirrors]

I can just about afford the extra for the paint now, but wont be able to afford resprays in the future and dont want to be driving around in a shed It is a bit of a shame, but theres got to be something else I like. The cobra is growing on me more and more, im gonna have to take these pics on cd up to the bodyshop tomorrow i think!

surely its your car, your money, not down to the guy in the bodyshop telling you what colour to do it, just place some coinage in his hand and tell him to paint it, lol

As i said, its not that he wont do it, just a matter of cost and i wont be able to afford the upkeep with a kandy.

go for jaguar green, deep green with a real bright green when the sun hits it.

if not then go for deep purple or a real dar grey like lexus colour with a gold laquer.

or be cool and diff with a complete white respray, really bright white
