if i tow a car on a bar, does the car being towed have to be taxed, moted, insured?

dont think it does. Ive towed plenty of cars without any papers and been pulled as well. never had a problem. show an 'on tow' sign and u should be fine.

If a car has no tax it should be sorned, if a cars sorned it shouldnt be on the road at all

The dealer who bought my corsa towed it away with an A frame thing with his audi has it had no tax. The guy had obviously done it plenty of times and that was he sole reason for towing it.

u do need all tax,mot, insurance if it is on a solid tow bar but you can use a thing called an A Frame that we use to tow a suzuki SJ and then it is clased as a trailor which means u dont need that stuff!

correct if someone has to sit in the car whilst its been towed the car needs to be road legal or u can get done for driving without as i found out the hard way now my partnere has 6 points
