It didnt sound as good as MDF, so before i painted it i ripped it out and just did the boot in tidy MDF.
I am more worried about the Sq than the look, so wood won in the end!

i got cobra sidewinders in my garage, but im selling the car and not got time to get them in, the new owner will be able to have the seats free tho :-)
They were painted by the bodyshop i use thus the shiny finish.
And ideally for sound no u dont really want fibreglass to make the structure of the boxs. If you really want the look, make mdf boxs and build fibreglass over the outside of them, that way you get the wood structure, but with fibreglass look, entirely up to you tho.

yeah i was thinking of making the correct sized sealed boxes and then having a kind of fibreglass skin over the top, to house the amps and that.... i probably won't bother though, cos i'm too lazy !!!

i did do the boot boxs, i have the fibreglass box in my garage, but the difference in sound between fibreglass box and MDF box is noticable, and as i am 99% of the time sat in the car listening i went for the option that sounded better!

andi why not keep the boxes but build around them....
false floor at front ooooor
my opinion subs facing upwards then floor all way along so it just looks like two subs sunken then display amp on rear of seats obviously mdf in fron of them
just my thought..... as i went fiberglass once totally wrong size subs sounded hollow and awfull i went back to mdf

if i was keping the car i probably would build a fibreglass cover over the bnoxs, and have it painted so it looked a bit more flash, but as im selling thats gonna be upto the new owner!!
