Just wondering what actually happens if the copper checks your engine and is a different engine?

what would happen if you get caught and are not insured on that engine

say its a 2.0 when its ment to be a 1.2

I told the DVLA and the insurance company about mine. Seems silly to spend all that money on your car to then risk it all if someone drives into you and its their fault. also people know they can check engine sizes on the dvla site so they might think you are telling porky pies. Not to mention the problems the police will give you

Right, mines insured ok, but is on the log book as a 1.2.

Got tugged a few weeks back, copper was coming off the motorway, heard me rip it up the duel carrageway. Cae up and stopped us. First thing he aid was "thats not a 1.2". Never looked under bonnet or at tax though.
