Stripping cars is very tiring
Got the new car delivered today, its a 1999 T reg 1.0 Envoy
No sunroof, no electric crap, no nonsense
Only done 29K according to the clocks But it has been stood for a while. When I arrived home to meet the delivery guy I was a little shocked to be honest. The white car was green and the bumper wasn't on too good either. This was the least of my worries, looked inside & there was literally a sea of car parts inside!
So far I've counted 3 steering wheels (not including the one fitted), 3 door mirrors, a wiring loom, various rubber seals, 2 Astra mk4 grilles, a Ford Transit grille, 3 clock surrounds, a dash, 4 headrests & many other things
It would seem that one of the rubber seals was from my passenger door, which means that it isn't water tight, which would explain the puddle in the rear footwell Adding moisture into the air the seats etc have started to go a little manky
So, on with the stripping. Wanted to get as much out tonight as possible to prevent the water causing rust, so in the space of just 2 1/2 hours tonight I have completely stripped the car down so there is only the heater matrix & the steering wheel. Not bad going MAnaged to give it a quick sponge down too so its no longer green
Had to knock the little floor plugs out of the floorpan to allow the water to drain out properly & Im going to try & find some form of heater tomorrow to finish the rest off Wondering if its worth removing the tar matting in the footwells too? JR? What do you think?
Left my camera at work Pics tomorrow

Whites a good colour.
I hate this "Reshelling" term everyone uses as clearing its not what your doing. You're transferring parts from one car to another!
Get loads of boxes and sort through all the parts you have. then you can see what you can sell/use and what wants binning.
