By using the handbrake, your effectively dragging the car where you want it to go. You don't really have m,uch control over it though.

you can drift across the road in any car

powerslide a RWD

wobble around a bend in FWD with the rear stepping out about 4 inches then wobbling back straight (probably slowest way to go round the corner), makes corsa drivers feel cool tho

it may be "possible" to get a FWD car to do what appears to be "drifting"

But at the end of the day, its absoloutely NOTHING like proper controlled difting, steering weith the front wheels and sliding the back, controlling the "powerslide" with the throttle.

A FWD cannot do that. You can yank handbrakes attach maccy d's trays or whatever, but you cant controll it with the throttle.

Plus, even if they could, why dont drift works trade in their 200sx's and go and buy some european cheap superminis?

Ok you know best.
Because as has been pointed out its not the same drifting in a fwd car, you can't drift from corner to corner.
You can control whith the throttle what happens after you've started the car off with the handbrake.

Its pointless trying to even make a valid point on here with some people.
They are right no matter what.
Ok you can't drift.
You all know best.

Posting ictures of cars oversteering is very nice, but it isn't drifting.

It's not disagreeing with the point i'm making.
Its the believing 100% you are coreect when you aren't.
Because there happen to be more of you in the thread than me doesn't mean you are right.
You can drift a fwd car no matter what your opinion is or what you say.
There is plenty of photographic and video evidence about.

Why are people arguing about what it's called who gives a fuck.

I agree the action of 'drifting' powersliding...whatever in a rwd is more controlled and a whole different kettle of fish (linking up the corners and the way you 'power' it round etc) to whatever you want to call it in a fwd car, but the fact remains some fwd cars are very controlable in these situations, it may slow you down, it may speed you up...this si true of rwd cars also though.
