What are peoples thoughts on these??? And leave out the "there french" commenst as that means nothing imo.

The reason I'm asking is a lad up my way is selling his on a G plate, pretty mint for its age, nearly standard bar a gutmann front grill, lowered on its ass and a full s/s exhaust. Its only done 79k miles which is alot less then mine (nearly half whats on the corsa) the only problem with it is that it has a cracked windscreen, badly worn drivers seat and has NO mot.

Obviously I will need to have it fully checked out first as a car with no MOT is worthless imo but if not alot is wrong with it I might offer him a PX (cash my way).

Dads mate had one a few years ago, handle really well but the only thing that pissed him off was the build quality!

Amazin wee cars. watch for cracks above the rear quarter glass and on the sill at the rear quarter.

Drop a 2ltr turbo into it, or even better build a t16

Only drove the 1.6's and that was no bad...

Not too slow either are they not about 7.8 to 60 the 1.9's..

Drivers seat looks well worn and you would struggle to get a replacement unless you got it retrimmed..

Personally i would finish your corsa off..

i paid 400 for my E reg 89 1.9 GTi...

It was an MOT failure, with cracked windscreen.

Watch for rust .... they shouldnt b ebad, but if they've had a bash it'll show. Rear beams are cunt.... check it moves on both sides
Ex Manifolds are prone to cracking too, so if its sounds overly tappety dont dismiss it straight away
