An Audi A3 2.0 TDi S-Line

Was quicker than I thought it would be. Had the DSG 'box on it though

Just got to save a few ££££ up for my deposit now. Thinking I'll get a Toucan Yellow S-line but a manual and a Quattro

While I was there my mate that works for Audi was showing me round the other cars they had in. That new Q7 offroader, ugly on the outside but inside is really nice. And an RS6 Estate that they've had chipped.

So looks like I'm going to be moving out of the Vauxhall camp sometime in the next year...

Yeah TDi Quattro I'm after. Did fancy a 3.2 V6 but its alot more money and also alot heavier on fuel.

The interior is sexy nice half leather seats. Haven't decided if I'm going to go finance route and buy a brand new one and trade it every 3 years or whether to get a loan.

They said they'll match any finance I can get elsewhere including internet prices.

Yeah it was lovely.

Did consider a MK5 Golf GT TDi like my Dads got which is nice but the interior is no where near as nice and I prefer the look of the Audi S-Line.

The 170 version will be available when I come to buy aswell

I tried giving it some stick in normal driving mode using the paddles to change gear and it was crap as it took an age to change gear but switched it over to sport and its a different car completely! Gear changes are speeded up when in sport mode. When left in auto its also pretty good.

I would rather have a proper manual though to be honest!

I like silver but too common and I always think silver is a bit boring. Love black cars but I know from owning one at the moment how hard they are to keep clean.

I'm quite taken by the colour of the one I test drove actually!

Yeah for what they are they are very quick. I dont need anything quicker than that anyway as cant use it on public roads these days! I dont like cars that you have to rev the tits off to make them go, I like torque at low revs so you can just waft along without any effort.

Think I will probably get the 170 version when that comes out anyway!

The interior on the S-Line is superb.

I had a test drive in the Golf GTi with the DSG box in.
I personally thought it was quite a nice touch. Very smooth gear changes and nice response.
Maybe i'm just getting lazy though?

It was a nice car with the DSG but you dont get the same sort of acceleration you do when you plant your foot in a manual. In the auto it drops it a gear and revs the tits off it whereas in a manual you can just leave it in whatever gear its in and pick up speed using the torque lower down the revs and its just as fast without having to rev it so much. So for a petrol the DSG would be a good choice but not for a diesel IMO.

I liked not having to change gear though, good for lazy driving
