quick question, how would you go about measuring the size of the alloy if you had no tyre on it and didnt know the diameters already?

its just that ive bought some 19"s and when compared them to my old 17"s they look alot more than 2" bigger. I thought maybe it was a case of just measuring from edge of rim to the other side of the rim across the centre but when i did this my 17" measured as 18.5" and my 19" measured just over 20", how does that work out?

lol it is new, and it reads the same on several tape measures. im in making sure it measures in a straight like rather than bending it around the alloy

go out to your street, find somebody with big wheels (4x4 etc) and place it alongside to help you judge it!

Measure around the wheel on the tyre bead seat, then divide that number by 3.14.
