hi guys,
i know its off topic but if you can help i'd appreiate it.
have a honda civic turbo diesel (the just gone old shape).
car now makes a hissingnoise on idle, and on acceleration, loss of power noticed and the 'malfunction indicator' light has now lit up.
can anyone shed some light on this issue before it gets carted to honda?

sounds like its got an airleak on the turbo side of things if it hisses

thought it might be loosing boost but dont know much about turbo motors

does sound slike a turbo leak, just chck all gaskets, run you hand around stuff
feel for a leak
without touching stuff as itll be hot

think theres much danger in running the car with the leak? The performance has been retarded.

well the perfomance will be retarded but there can be possible problems depending on where the leak is you do not want it to be over boosting because of the leak cause it can damage the engine best to find the leak really
