why do people always email and ask what the reserve is? just bid!

if they said how much to end auction early fair enough. When people phone and ask what you are looking for it they just go oh right and hang up

does everyone excpect to get things for nothing this weather

to know if they have a realistic chance of actually being able to afford it.

no point whaching an auction for 6 days to bid at the end if the reserve is higher than you have to spend to begin with.

yeah you bid ect, but whats the point in waiting and investing all that time keeping an eye on it, if you could not afford it to begin with, its wasted time.

i dont see why people have a problem telling others what there reserve price is.

tbh an auction strictly should be a starting price then just bids and it goes to the hiest bidder, regardless of a reserve.

putting a reserve on it makes it more like a Buy it now sort of thing as there is a certain ammount that you want; as opposed to just seeing what you can get.

I found this too when selling my corsa, Just put your starting bid as just a little under what you want for it. saves time and bother.

If the reserve is for example £2200 then the starting bid should be £2000 not 99p

And why do sellers wait for buyers to leave them feedback before leaving it for the buyer? Surely if the buyer pays within the sellers atsted alloeted timespan then they have done their half of the deal coorectly and feedback should be left accordingly? Not to wait and see what the buyers says first and then leave it!

some sellers do leave feedback as soon as you pay, however, a lot do not as if they leave possitve feedback before the buyer it meens they have to send the item quickly ect to keep them happy.

also some of the bigger shops have a system were feedbck is left automatically once the buyer leaves feedback.

Because there are some absolute pillocks on ebay, so its safer in regards to having more leverage if they start complaining and being a dick.
Personally just because the buyer has paid doesn't mean the transaction is over.
