I need to remove a large area of grass - i'll be fucked if im doing it by hand (shovel) so whats best a mechanical cultivator or a rotovator

Speedy-hire has both but no description on either

you need a turf cutter mate, £50 quid ish for a day

they cut about an inch under your tufr, all you do after is roll it up by hand and get rid

make sure you get the powered one with forward and reverse gears, there are 2 available, 1 with gears and one without. DEFO get the geared one or its hard work

reverse for if you get stuck! not sure if it is actually reverse, the 1 i have isnt geared so not sure

the one at HSS isnt geared, it'l be hard work, but still easier than a shovel

Right i'll phone around when im at work tomorrow - theres a few hire places we use so i'll be putting it through the business if I can anyway!

Any idea how much I should be paying for new turf sq/m ??

the machine i hire out at work is £35+vat and we are expensive, so thats a rough price on the hire to expect to pay, no idea on price of turf tho
